Could live- did live
-Emily Dickinson
Could live-did live
Could die-did die
Could smile upon the whole
Through faith in one he met not,
To introduce his soul.
Could go from scene familiar
To an untraversed spot-
Could contemplate the journey
With unpuzzled heart-
Such trust had one among us,
Among us not today-
We who saw the launching
Never sailed the Bay!

Would Dance-did dance
-Sarah MacGregor
Would dance- did dance
Would sit- did sit
Would dance upon the stage
Easy Flowing like the wind
That you try to be
To live everyday your passion
Would go to the top
To a place the others wouldn’t
Calculating our steps
With an empty brain
To trust his arms
Wrapped like a ribbon around her torso
Who dropped her before
And never danced a dance
